Pack Trips

Picture yourself with an experienced guide, riding native mountain horses, following a pack string on the trail to a unique wilderness adventure. Camping near a crystal clear stream or an isolated mountain lake. Satisfying your appetite with great meals and an open fire. Afterwards, sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet under a starlit sky.

The trip is yours to plan. Perhaps a day ride to a pristine lake for photography or fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, or golden trout. Or perhaps a sightseeing excursion to observe deer, elk, an elusive eagle, and the vast variety of wildflowers native to our mountains.

Mount Zirkel Wilderness Area consists of 139,000 acres located in the heart of Routt National Forest, which consists of 1,100,000 acres. Included in the Wilderness Area are approximately 40 lakes, and miles of streams and rivers. Join us this summer for an unforgettable wilderness experience. We offer 2 day to 5 day trips or we can design a trip to fit your particular desires. For one day horseback rides, see our Horseback Rides page.
